Nestled underneath the scaffolding of such places usually are intimate abodes that offer a form of solace. There are these middens take on a childlike innocence. They have been trying to figure out what to do with this part of the neighbourhood for so long.
While at one moment it was a solution to glide above such expanses with above ground roads, it is not anymore. Going North towards the Centurn project, or East to the new hospital has the potential to reconfigure what these crevices mean. In the 1980's they proposed to seal of these areas with a giant slab of concrete.
The entire facade of Gas-town would have been lost and it would undoubtedly be a different place without it.
What with the proposed revamp of the Chinatown district comes potential, with the inclusion of such lower structured neighbourhoods is also the heart of the city so to speak, the old vaudeville district, and trolley line.
